Nitro Canyon
★★★★☆ 4.1
Nitro Canyon is pure arcade racing — no simulation weight, just fast corners and generous drift boosts. You steer by tilting or tapping the sides of the screen, and both schemes work well enough that we switched depending on our mood. The tracks wind through canyons and neon cities with plenty of shortcuts to memorize.
Car handling is forgiving in a good way. You can slide through a hairpin without spinning out, and chaining drifts to build boost feels great. The upgrade system is simple: earn parts, bolt them on, shave seconds off your times.
It's not a deep game, and that's the point. Nitro Canyon is what you play in short bursts when you want speed without a tutorial in the way. The track variety kept it fresh longer than we expected.
