Tower defence 101: reading the lane before you build

After reviewing dozens of tower defence games, we noticed the same beginner mistake over and over: people build the strongest tower they can afford and drop it wherever there's space. That's backwards.

The first thing to read is the lane itself. Long straightaways love slow, high-damage towers because enemies stay in range. Tight corners and loops are where splash and slow effects shine, since packs bunch up right there.

Before spending a single coin, trace the full path with your finger. Find the two or three spots that cover the most track, and reserve those for your key towers. Everything else is support.

Another habit worth building: keep a small reserve of currency during early waves. When a surprise armored group appears, that reserve lets you react instead of watching your line crumble.

None of this is complicated, but doing it consistently is what separates a clean run from a last-second scramble. Slow down for the first ten seconds of each map and you'll win far more often.
